Who does not know Bob Marley? Who does not like him and his reggae CD? Even though he is long gone, his music still lives on. Bob Marley is the first Jamaican artist who gained international super stardom. His songs became the voice of the Jamaican everyday struggle for oppression and discrimination. His songs have three meanings- faith, devotion and revolution. His song s was compiled into reggae CDs at the present time.
Robert Nesta Marley is no other than Bob Marley. He actually left his home when he was at the age of 14. He left his home at the early age to pursue his music career. His mentor is Joe Higgs, a Rastafarian. His first single was released in 1962 with the title Judge Not. He became part of the vocal group known as the Teenagers together with his co-artists such as Peter Tosh, Bunny Livingston, Junior Braithwaite, Beverly Kelso and Cherry Smith.
Later, they were launched as the Wailers. Their first debut album contained a song entitled I’m Still Waiting. He became the lead vocalist when the other two members left the group. Their next song following the I’m Still waiting was the Simmer Down. The band had recorded many songs after their first two hits.
